Dress Code

RBPS has a dress code policy to help create a safe and orderly environment, instill discipline, and eliminate the competition and distractions caused by varied dress styles. Students are expected to arrive in dress code every day and be dressed up in full school uniform at all times during the school day. . It is a reflection of RBPS. When students are in uniform, therefore, they are expected always to conduct themselves accordingly, whether at school or not. The uniforms will be provided by RBPS . Please cooperate, display modesty and neatness, and take pride in these clean, neat and attractive uniforms. We rely on your common sense and your parents' and/or guardians' support in helping maintain this dress code. Parents are primarily responsible for their children's uniform and are expected to check that it is being worn correctly before the child leaves home for school. Students who fail to keep their uniform as required (eg drawing,modfying etc) will be asked to purchase a new uniform.Shoes shold be regular,traditional black shoes,and socks should be white.Sport shoes are only worn with sports uniform during PE lessons.They aren’t permitted in normal classroom hours.Any students wearing sport shoes due to injury must have a medical certificate. Ties must be worn at all times on school grounds and done up tightly. Clothing such as singlets, T-shirts, skivvies that are sometimes worn under the school shirt must be white. No hooded tops are allowed;
For boys;
- Boys are not permitted to wear earrings and/or other jewellery (except a wristwatch) with the school uniform;
- Attention seeking hairstyles (mullet, undercut, crew cut, number zero, shaved head, layers, sparkly hair, spiky hair, etc.) are not permitted. Hairstyle should be short, simple and conservative. Hair must not reach the collar at the back. Ears should be visible and a fringe should not reach eyebrows. Hair must be neatly combed;
- Sideburns are not to be longer than three quarters of a student‘s ear length;
- No extensive amount of hair gel/spray/wax/mousse.
For girls;
- Hair colour should be no other than the natural colour of the student.
- Hair may be plaited or French-braided .Attention seeking hairstyles are not permitted. If hair is long enough to touch the shoulder, it must be tied back with a black, navy blue or white coloured item, such as ribbon, scrunchie or plait;
- Hair bands are allowed to be worn in black, white or navy blue in colour;
- With the exception of a wristwatch, no other visible jewellery may be worn, e.g.bracelets;
- A single gold or silver stud earring or a sleeper no larger than a five-cent piece may be worn, one in each ear lobe. Drop/dangling earrings are not acceptable as they create a risk of injury in sporting activities. No facial studs or piecing are allowed;
- Nails should be clean and trimmed; no nail polish is permitted
